Towards an Employability Programme featuring individual employability support sessions, workshops, training and outings for disadvantaged young people in London aged 13 – 21.

First Star Scholars UK £20,000

Towards empowering children in care in London, supporting them to progress to higher education, training and employment.

Towards the In2science programme in London, which Promotes Social Mobility and Diversity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Power2 £10,000

Towards the Teens & Toddlers programme in London, helping young people improve their wellbeing and school engagement, through the experience of mentoring nursery children.

Homelessness

Hope Worldwide £10,000

Towards the Charity Housing Service which provides a specialised housing service for single people living in the capital who are experiencing homelessness.

Housing the Homeless Central Fund £6,000

Towards providing small grants to beneficiaries in London. The recipients are those who are in danger of losing their homes or essential services; those caring for children in impoverished circumstances and those who have faced a personal setback and are being encouraged to start again.

Marylebone Project £15,000

Towards The Sanctuary, a drop-in centre which is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, providing emergency support for women in crisis, many of whom are experiencing domestic violence, mental health issues and substance abuse.

Disability

James’ Place £15,000

Three years’ continuation funding towards the core costs of offering free, life-saving treatment to suicidal men in London and the North-West.

Music in Hospitals and Care £14,169

To provide 55 live music experiences for adults experiencing mental health issues within healthcare settings in Greater London.

Oakfield £15,000

Towards developing an outdoor space for small animal care, complementing its existing Care Farm horticulture project accessed by adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities.

Watford Sheltered Workshop £15,000

Towards the core costs of providing supported work experience and skills training to people who are disabled or disadvantaged, enabling them to contribute to the community and where possible progress into unsupported employment.

Yellow Submarine £10,000

Towards evening social clubs and day-time activities for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities and autism in Oxfordshire.

Multiple Sclerosis Trust £15,000

Towards their enquiry service which provides support, information and advice via phone, email and social media to people with MS.

Prisoners

One Small Thing £10,000

Towards front-line work at the Hope Street facility in Southampton, which pilots a new approach to working with justice involved women.

Upper Room £15,000

Two years’ continuation funding towards supporting the homeless, ex-offenders and socially excluded people through projects, giving people the tools and skills to be more resilient and improve their lives.

Recruitment Junction £15,000

Towards Inside Job in HMP Northumberland a new, peer-led, through-the-gate, post-prison employment service. The programme provides prisoner peer recruiters, in prison interviews and job offers, and through-the-gate support.
