| In November, we welcomed 100 students from 10 schools to our inaugural Careers in Healthcare event. The students, each interested in pursuing medical or health-related careers, met 24 Drapers and colleagues representing a wide spectrum of roles including GPs, radiographers, psychologists, consultants, junior doctors, medical students and a paediatric nurse. A panel discussion, chaired by Liveryman and Orthopaedic Surgeon Rej Bhumbra, explored the many routes into medical careers. Panellists included: • Rupert Dunbar-Rees, GP and Healthcare Business Director • Annie Hunningher, Consultant Anaesthetist • Tom Kopelman, Physiotherapist and Entrepreneur • Nayna Manya, NHS Director Students particularly valued hearing about the diversity of pathways and the importance of resilience and adaptability. |
